Introducing the Game Theory Atlas Journal: A New Space for Strategic Thinking

Why an independent journal?

Strategic decisions are seldom made in isolation. Organisations respond to competitors, governments respond to institutions, and people adapt their choices to what they expect others to do. Game theory offers a rigorous framework for understanding these interdependent decisions.

The Game Theory Atlas Journal connects academic ideas with the questions shaping contemporary life. We will explore advances in research, strategic interaction in markets, policy choices, artificial intelligence, cooperation, conflict and the practical value of mathematical models.

What we will publish

Our editorial programme includes research briefs that explain new papers; concise news updates anchored to original sources; in-depth strategic analysis; real-world cases; and interviews or essays that make decision science accessible without sacrificing precision.

How we assess evidence

We distinguish established results from hypotheses, analysis from reporting, and correlation from causal claims. Research coverage will link to primary publications and, where available, open datasets or replication material. We will identify authors and dates and correct significant errors transparently.

An invitation to think strategically

The Journal complements the Atlas’s learning resources, simulations and research library. It is designed for students, researchers, educators, policy professionals and curious readers who want to understand not only what happened, but which incentives and strategic choices helped produce the outcome.
